[myself] Omiyage from Japan~!

This time, I’m introducing a sweet omiyage from Minamoto Kitchoan.
The name of this wagashi (Japanese confectionery) is Fukuwatashisenbei (福渡しせんべい)
It’s from a guest from Japan.

The guest is quite generous with his gift because I checked online and one packet worth at least $2 (Singapore dollar). Man, that would be around RM5 per packet.

Anyway, about the taste, yup it was delicious.
It wasn’t very sweet but still retains a mild vanilla sweetness.
The biscuit was quite crunchy and quite fulfilling as it’s quite big.
The filling, I think must be vanilla as it’s white and tasted like, well…. Vanilla =P
Like the biscuit, it’s not too sweet but still counts as a dessert.

That’s about it!

[review] The Darkest Hour

Before I start this review, let me say a few things.
Me, I think I have this Kinemortophobia - fear of zombies (I googled it).

My friends are always wondering what I am afraid of zombies.
Because they might be REAL, that's why!!
Scientist do so much of illogical experiments, something bad might come out of it, you know.
And to think some mindless, blood/flesh hungry being chasing you for one sole purpose, I'm scared. Very SCARED.

Ever since I watched a HK zombie movie which occurs in a shopping mall, the image stuck and never let go. I'm absolutely terrified of empty or almost empty shopping mall.

Now coming back to this movie, The Darkest Hour gave me the same overwhelming sense of fear when I watch it in the cinema today.

To make it worst, we can't see it.
You'll never know if it's a large monster which can grab you with its extremely long hand (it might have, well you don't know because you can't SEE it!)
Because of that, it makes the movie even scarier since anything can happen any time.

I really hate the feeling of not able to outrun your predator.

This movie head straight to climax after a few moments at the start (which makes me think what is going to happen for the rest of the movie).
After the first attack, the desolated scene reminded me dearly of 'I am Legend'.
But the difference is the alien is not afraid of the sun. It adds to the scary factor because from the start until the later half of the movie, we were never showed how to defeat the aliens as our protagonist spent all their times running and hiding.

But later they did fight back and I'm glad that they DO have weaknesses (the aliens).
Otherwise, I'll have nightmare tonight .... no, seriously.

Anyway, I give this movie a 3 out of 5 (and I won't watch it again ... EVER)
