(myself) New York Skin Solution - My nightmare

Man, I don't know where to start....
Okay, from the very first then...

One time, me and my sister found a deal from those coupon/deal websites for New York Skin Solution.
And naively, we thought, "Hey, that's a pretty good deal. We can get a cheap treatment plus some freebies from a well-known brand". Little do we know, that moment became the beginning of our nightmare.

After we done the whole ritual (face scan, consultation, treatment), the famous 'hard-selling' tactic begins. My sister was being grilled by another consultation when I start mine. She started with how bad is my face condition and suggested we take a package. She asked if I'm a student (which I was during that time) and I answered, "Yes, but I'm waiting for graduation now". She said there's no problem as for me, she'll give me special student price. When she quoted me the price of the package (RM1200 ++ or RM1700 ++, I forgot) , I was like, "For love of Bleep, WTF is the price? So expensive". So, naturally I did what others did to defend the first 'attack'. Said, "Sorry, I think think first la". She follow up the attack with another, saying that it's only for today that the student price are offered. Later then if I want to buy the package, it will be a whole lot more expensive.

I have to stop a moment to clarify something here.I am a pushover. Yes, I admit it. And the consultant is the one who cleanse my face so I get guilty to say no to her face since she is super kind and friendly during the facial treatment.

And now, continued from the last paragraph.
I found it very hard to evade the consultant as my defense was weak and she saw that.
I tried to say that I haven't get a job yet and have no money.
She persuaded me with the time-limited offer and said that I could pay a bit first.
I hesitated a bit because I'm kind of self-conscious with my face and I also hope to get a better complexion.
She saw my hesitation and went straight for the kill.
"Just now I checked your sister, she also agreed to buy the package, you should really buy too."
I was a bit shocked because my sister bought it. (We agreed before that to not buy anything)

I said I'll talk to my sister and saw that my sister is a bit giddy (maybe from spending a large sum of money).
Man, and here I thought I can rely on my sister to stand firm in saying no.
The consultant keep pushing the offer on me and I felt very bad and stressed.
I hate getting pushed by others but I didn't have the gut to say no.
The best comeback I gave was "I don't have money".
She looked at my sister and said, "Ask your sister to pay for your first la."
You may not able to understand how stressful I am at that moment, but I finally said yes.
That's how I get my ever first loan to my name (PTPTN doesn't count, I'm not talking about that kind of loan) and from my sister.
I regret every moment of that purchase until now.

I still have the package now because I never found the right time to go for the treatment.
Even if I do, the consultant and the centre I signed up with is always busy and schedule full.

Today, I went there for the first time since I bought the package a year ago. (if it wasn't for the consultant to bug call me too often, I would not even go there.)
I went through the facial, extraction of white and blackheads (man, it hurts so much my tears fall continuously. And when the girl asked me if it hurts, I sobbed and shook with each breath I took ) and lastly, another facial.
When the girl finished the last part, she said it's done and I can start to put on my clothes.
Since it had been a year since I done the facial, I couldn't remember the procedure after the treatment.
After a while standing in the booth, I figure I just walk out like that. (yeah, if life is that easy)
The girl quickly called me back to sign stuff (oh yeah, that's it. I forgot the signing part.) and I get back inside.
My previously consultant was waiting for me with my card (to sign on) and another brochure plus a blank paper. Before she opened her mouth, I finally realized another part that I have forgotten - the hard-selling part. Oh shit, I really forgotten all about it T^T

My consultant asked me if I changed my skincare products.
I told her I'm currently using Hada Labo and SkinFood.
She nodded and told me that maybe my skincare are not suitable for me as my skin are a little bit dry.
And then she started drafting a package and told me that they have xx package which I should really take. They have xx essence that will minimize pores. It's moxxxxfuxxxx RM2500++. Damm, do I looked like I grow money on trees? It's even more than my one month salary = =;;

I told her I'm not financially well now because I splurge hundreds on SkinFood and Hada Labo.
I cannot afford it.
She said the package will be good for my skin and pores and push a bit.
I hesitated (because I'm a pushover) a bit and told her that I cannot afford it because (think brain, think!) ... ah, my sister is planning to buy a car and I'm going to share it with her.
She think for a moment and start writing other price.
She told me that if like that, maybe I can split half of the treatment with her customer (RM1200 ++).
Man, this girl really don't know when to give up.
I hesitated again and told her that I cannot afford it because I recently went to see some orthopedic specialist and blew RM400++ there.
Maybe she's concerned about me or she thought that I lied to her (which I did not!), she asked me why did I went to see the specialist and how's my health.
Then she continued saying those medicine (glucasamine) isn't that expensive.
Well, I thought that as well but God knows why the stupid specialist charged me a fortune for those pills.
So I replied saying my meds are those used specially by doctors.
She think for a while and said I could deposit RM200 first to hold on to the offered price first so that I could pay by installments.
She even asked me if I have credit cards and I said no.
I shook my head and said I cannot afford it, there are too much money I used recently.
She looked at bit, looking a bit sour and said maybe I could buy their moisturizer or something, it's only RM70 or RM80 after discount. I was like, even SkinFood doesn't cost that much.
Shaking my head for the last time, I said sorry.
She finally gave me my card to sign and I leave ASAP.
______________________

I felt so pressurized and bad while I'm walking away from the skincare centre, I made a resolve.
I don't freaking care if I wasted money for the treatment, I'm not going back to them anymore.
It's better than getting pressured to buy stuff everytime and endured that bleeding (literally) extraction again.
I'm not masochist, for your information.

My skin is looking better than last time now because I went past the teenage acne period and will only get occasional acne here and there. So, I'm not so conscious about my face anymore.
It's not like I'm going to compete for beauty pageant or something.
I don't believe a guy will say, "Oh, your pores are large, I'm not going out with you again".
If he really said that, well he can go eff off himself.

Conclusion, screw going for treatment.

[review] The Darkest Hour

Before I start this review, let me say a few things.
Me, I think I have this Kinemortophobia - fear of zombies (I googled it).

My friends are always wondering what I am afraid of zombies.
Because they might be REAL, that's why!!
Scientist do so much of illogical experiments, something bad might come out of it, you know.
And to think some mindless, blood/flesh hungry being chasing you for one sole purpose, I'm scared. Very SCARED.

Ever since I watched a HK zombie movie which occurs in a shopping mall, the image stuck and never let go. I'm absolutely terrified of empty or almost empty shopping mall.

Now coming back to this movie, The Darkest Hour gave me the same overwhelming sense of fear when I watch it in the cinema today.

To make it worst, we can't see it.
You'll never know if it's a large monster which can grab you with its extremely long hand (it might have, well you don't know because you can't SEE it!)
Because of that, it makes the movie even scarier since anything can happen any time.

I really hate the feeling of not able to outrun your predator.

This movie head straight to climax after a few moments at the start (which makes me think what is going to happen for the rest of the movie).
After the first attack, the desolated scene reminded me dearly of 'I am Legend'.
But the difference is the alien is not afraid of the sun. It adds to the scary factor because from the start until the later half of the movie, we were never showed how to defeat the aliens as our protagonist spent all their times running and hiding.

But later they did fight back and I'm glad that they DO have weaknesses (the aliens).
Otherwise, I'll have nightmare tonight .... no, seriously.

Anyway, I give this movie a 3 out of 5 (and I won't watch it again ... EVER)

[Food] Spaghetti Farm

Me? I like eating some spaghetti so when I went to Midvalley one day, I decided to try the spaghetti at Spaghetti Farm.

I ordered Chicken Bolognese and my sister ordered Carbonara (refer menu above)

Chicken Bolo...

Man, it was totally hideous (at least for my taste). I tasted a lot of chicken bolognese from different restaurants but this is the first time I ate something like that *shivers*
It was like the bolognese sauce being watered down as soup and poured onto a separately cooked tasteless spaghetti (I mean, yeah I know spaghetti is tasteless by themselves so you don't cook it separately). The spaghetti don't even have time to absorb whatever essence from the soup sauce. It was like, "One Chicken Bolo!" and the cook dump a lump of spaghetti onto the bowl and poured the soup and 'Wala', done! Man, it tasted like Chinese bitter medicine. I try to make it edible by shaking lots of black pepper on it but it did little to mask the taste.
(My sister even ask me to speak lesser because my mouth smell T^T)
FAILED

Carbonara...

At least my sister's one didn't taste so bad. She only say the taste is very watery and the bacon looked/taste very raw =P
(I should have ordered that instead of the stupid Bolo ... T^T My mouth taste horrible for the whole day)
FAILED

0 SAVED, 2 FAILED.
VERDICT: FAILED.
We will not visit this shop ever again.
(And I had to apologize to my sister for ruining her lunch ==)

[FOOD] Xi Lai Can Guan (禧来餐馆)

Went to a lousy place for dinner today. Damm!

I ordered a ‘Ginger Onion Fish rice’ and found something like a small cockroach in the gravy. Eeew?!
When we told the waitress girl about it, she kind of ignores us and continues her work. So much of a service, eh? FAILED

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Leftovers, I can't make myself to eat anymore. Not with the knowledge of a bug in the gravy

And before that, my little brother was reading the menu for drinks and the waitress aunty just snatched it from his hand (without even telling my brother that she need the menu back!) and went back to her station. Talk about manners… FAILED

Other than that, my mom was having a hard time choosing what she wanted to eat so she told the aunty to come back later. But the aunty only waited a few moments and came back to ask her (and quite impatiently too!) for her order. FAILED

We were quite annoyed at the lack of manners and service from this restaurant.
The name of the restaurant is Xi Lai Can Guan (禧来餐馆)

VERDICT: FAILED.
We will not visit this shop ever again.

[review] Queen Betsy series by MaryJanice Davidson

The thing I like about this Queen Betsy series by our dear author, MaryJanice Davidson is the humor. All those small little things that we like to mutter under our breath, it’s funny and it made me laugh. And hey, the story is quite fascinating too. Like I mentioned (if not for the billionth times) in my other reviews, I read a lot of vampires books (and I think you too, no doubt) so it really takes more than a bit of brain juice to satisfy me and my brain.

The main character, Elizabeth Taylor a.k.a. Betsy reminds me of Fran Fine in ‘The Nanny’. LOL, their fashion sense were the same, except Fran is fashion-conscious from head to toe. I learnt many names of shoe designers from the series. There are some names that I never heard before… maybe because I’m pretty much of a Laura-with-Payless person. Says me with my 2 years old, bright yellow Greek sandal. I bet Betsy will scream at me if she ever saw me.

One thing about vampire here that I haven’t read about from other books was they are afraid of God and everything about it, like bibles and prayer (plus, curses. HAH). So, it gave a sense of security like if you were being chased by a vampire, you can start reciting “For God so love the world that he gave his only son… etcetera”

I would have given a place for this series in my top ten list of ‘Best Supernatural Series’ if not for the new spin in the story starting book 7. Man, at least announce this as a Season 2 series (she kinda did but I’m the reader here, I need somebody to blame for my heartaches) so that I’ll prepare myself or something. It really makes me sad to read about the death of the ones I knew. Plus it gave me a 2 day worth book poisoning which has side effects like tension headache.

The ‘trilogy arc’ or something starting from the seventh book had given me at least a surprise (if not nasty) per book. Although I’m still glad that Betsy is continuing to amaze people or learnt new skills (Yay, amazing Betsy!), it didn’t come up enough to counter-balance the nasty ones.

So after all and all, I give this series a 3 out of 5.

[WARNING – There might be bits of spoilers ahead, proceed by your own risk]

My personal thought (rant!) about the series

I wonder how will the next book coming along. Man, I seriously hope that the future won’t end up like the one in book 9. I really can’t that the fact that the (second version or WHAT?!) Book of the Dead is made up of Eric’s skin. I mean, YUCK?! and NOOoooo!! And what with the Marc-gone-insane-stuff?! He might not be my favorite character but he did nothing to get himself to be a villain in the future.

And I really dislike Laura, from the first time she appeared until now. Because no matter how good she live her life, she’s evil inside. On the other hand, I like BabyJon~! Man, he is, maybe the most sanest (okay, redundancy here) person in the future.

Anyway, I was wondering if I’m gonna buy the next book. Because if disaster filled up more than 50% of the pages, I so going to throw it in the fire which will result in a wastage of my money. By the by, if you are buying the book, BookDepository is having discount on this one.

Check it out at the picture below~!

[Review] Katie Chandler series by Shanna Swendson

Katie Chandler series by Shanna Swendson is definitely one of my favorite book/series. If you are ‘saturated’ with vampire and werewolf stories, or even faeries, you might consider picking this series right now~! Shanna makes normal the new black!

To start with, the cover of each book is quite entertaining and light. I like the frog which present in every cover because it reminds one of ‘Prince Charming’ in frog suit. LOL

In many books, we read that the main character are highlighted for having special powers or coming from rare ancestry, but this book our main character, Katie is special and powerful for having no power! How do you like that~!

Mix in some modern magic and some handsome and yummy guys *squel*, this series is certainly not to be missed.

I give this series a 4 out of 5~!

[review] Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter series) by Nalini Singh

I just finished reading this book and I must say, “Man, I like this story! More please~ XD”
Okay before that, have you read the first book, Angels’ Blood? If you haven’t, go and get yourself a copy now~ XD

I bought mine from here – BookDepository and it’s free shipping worldwide~! XDXD

buy the book from The Book Depository, free delivery
Psst, I even get it on a bargain price~ XDXD

Okay, about this book. I wonder if it’s me or it’s thicker than its previous books.
I can’t help feeling Nalini Singh had written more than enough details in some parts. Hmmm…
The focus in the story is on Raphael’s mother, Caliane or I think it is.
Because there were other different matters on hand to tackle, rather different than its previous books.

There are also inner turmoil of both the hunter, Elena and our archangel, Raphael.
Trust is the main element between both of them and Nalini Singh had put up a few obstacles, making the bond between Elena and Raphael stronger. So important the trust that if it breaks, we will die along with either our archangel or guild hunter. Love the sensation Nalini Singh has weaved in the story.

Waiting for the new book to come, I give this a 3.5 out of 5~!

[Personal thoughts and prediction for the next book – WARNING, SPOILER AHEAD]

Man, I think I like Book 1 and 2 better than the third one. Firstly, I think there are too much bed scenes in Archangel’s Consort. If I need to guess, I think there are at least ten bed scenes – not including those without a bed *wink*
It’s not like I dislike the oh-so-delicious Raphael and equally ravishing guild hunter but overdose will numb the senses, don’t you think?

Secondly, there were parts I don’t even know had ‘happened’. Either it’s not important (but if so, there’s no need to even mention it, right?) or our author is running out of paper to write in detail.
For example, when did Harrison ran away from his contract and when did Elena caught him? When did Michaela started to date Astaad’s second?

Now for some predictions, I think one word. Baby~! (or babies XDXD) I wonder if she/he had wings? After all, Elene IS an angel now =O
Then, maybe Michaela start going crazy? (I’ve been bracing for her madness from Uram to catch in the third book but she’s not in it)
What about Elena’s maybe-vampire-blood-heritage? I keep thinking she is somehow related to Dmitri (Hah! That’s gonna be major awkwardness =P)
Evelyn still small so there will be nothing major about her.

One thing I hope I will never read about is love triangle (because I tend to pity the one not chosen) so whatever it is, please don’t let Illium start confessing to Elena or I’ll die T^T (I really like Illium)

[review] Morgan Kingley series by Jenna Black

Nice story~
Jenna Black made the suspense in each story so predictable and unpredictable at the same time often makes me wonder what will really happen in the end. There are many inner turmoil going around Morgan's head and it was well written to let us readers feel the feelings, similar if not exact.

The down side of the story is too much repetition of Morgan's principle of life and it does annoys a bit whenever Morgan started to do it.

It made me cry in the end and the ending falls in my book as an acceptable ending.
I give this series a 3.5 out of 5~!

[review] Storm Born by Richelle Mead

Storm Born is a good read. It had been a while since I read something that contained a variety of monsters, faeries, gentry or any category you can think of. To be honest, the only monster/magical being I knew was ‘kitsune’ a.k.a. Japanese fox. The rest were just something I don’t understand.

For action, I’m quite satisfied with the ability of the main character, Eugenie. To be able to handle a gun and then a wand, coupled with the ability to past through the other two worlds. Great abilities, I must say.

For romance, I like the attraction between Eugenie and her ‘boy’ Kiyo (oooh…) because they let nothing to stand between them. Just plain raw desire and also love =3
But for somehow, I hate how everything progress at the end. I absolutely hate the thought of a love triangle and I’ll be happy to ditch any stories with it inside. Sadly, I’m not able to foresee a triangle in it and here I am, feeling sorry for the ‘unpicked’ party. I like Dorian and it pained me to see him not able to be together with Eugenie and how he already lost the battle at the start…
I guess it’s not a triangle after all… *sulked*

Oh well, as much as I like the characters and all, I don’t agree with the plot that made all the male being trying to get Eugenie pregnant. Other than that, there is also the part where Eugenie had unprotected sex with both Kiyo and Dorian. I had my concern over her pregnancy and it bothered me so much….

I give this a 3 out of 5. Ciaossu~

[Review] Kuroshitsuji II - Ending (Anime)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

[CAUTION!! THE REVIEW BELOW CONTAINS SPOILER AND HIGHLY DOUSED WITH BIAS AND PREJUDICE. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CARE. YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT MY PROBLEM.]

Just finished watching the last episode of Kuroshitsuji II.
Seriously, what kind of plot is that?
The supposed-to-be antagonist dead!! Even before the end?
What with the sudden third party contract? Right before the end too ==;; *shake head*
Is it the production short on fund so they cut everything short into the end?

I’m very happy that Ciel regained his memories back and understand that Sebastian is his butler.
I’m extremely pleased that Claude is dead, and even better by Sebastian’s hand.
But what with the eternal curse for Sebastian?
He didn’t even looked pleased with that ==
Why starve Sebastian?
Just feed him please!! >.>

The best ending that we could salvage from this carnage is end the whole thing right after Ciel regained his memories and commanded Sebastian to consume his soul until the end.
Better still, end it after Sebastian smiled and said the famous sentence, “Yes, my Lord”
Oh God, Oh God~! XD That would be the best ending (… if you compare it to the official one *nodded*)

I give this ending a 2 out of 5...

[review] The Tao Fighter : Woochi

Just watched WooChi a.k.a. The Taoist Fighter and man, this is a funny movie! XD
It made me laughed starting from the beginning to the end.
And it also defied common expectations in normal movie. Fun~
Like when someone flies over, you will expect the person lands with style but instead, the person walks in back in normal walking style.

I like how the magic is done and how Kang Dong Won flaunts his style.
Not to mention how all the puzzles clicked together in the end.
Especially the advice the master gave WooChi at the beginning of the story.

By the way, a random thought. WooChi really looks like YuCheon~ XD
Yucheon ah~~!! XDXD

Okay, there are some down side too =O
What happened to the rest of the goblins that was released 500 hundred years ago?
Is the girl really the Archangel?
Does she need to fix the flute and blow it for 3000 days again?
And why not kill the ram goblin, Hwadam?
Why is Hwadam a goblin and he does not know about it?

That’s all~!

I give this movie a 4 out of 5~!

[review] Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Just finished reading this book.
And I LOVE it~! XD
Also related with Greek Gods (because it’s my current obsession), this story unravel led nicely.

The way main guy character is described, DELICIOUS~~
Makes me wonder what will I do if I ever able to summon Julian, Julian of Macedon.
Love it when he is trying to get our girl to bed *blush*

The story got me shedding a few tears at the end because … because, just because *shrugged*
A great book, I give this a 4 out of 5~

[review] Oh. My. Gods. by Tera Lynn Childs

It’s been a while since I read any teenage romance because they are so predictable sometimes.
School, schedule, boring teachers, stupid exams, brilliant result or something around there.
But I read this book because I’m currently obsessed with Greek Gods.

The storyline is okay and it’s kind of entertaining.
Still, it’s a bit predictable because it follows the rule ‘In the life of every girl, there will be at least a bitch’.
But then again, what’s the fun if there are no antagonists?

I give this a 3 out of 5~

[review] The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting

I know about this book from a Twilight facebook page.
It is the book of the day/week (Uh, I couldn’t remember)
Well, since I like paranormal romance I went and search for more information about it.

A review about the book said that it is hard to put it down when you have started reading it.
I second that.
As soon as I started reading it, I couldn’t stop.
I want to know everything, how the story goes, what is Violet going to do next and everything.

This is a good book because the story had a fair share of unexpected twist and turns, the way Derting writes is simple and easy. And yet, it means a lot. Lastly, a lot of kissing. Yum~!

I give this a 4 out of 5~

[FOOD] Yum Yum Cafe

Really [tin ng sau], Kampar got crap-ed up by crappy restaurants.

Just now, I’m eating dinner in a crap restaurant (I don’t know if I can really call it a restaurant but it’s not a café either so yeah…)
We never guess it would be this bad until our order started arriving.
I ordered a lemon juice and see this! What the bleeping hell is this?!

There’s a plum in my lemon juice. I asked the waiter who sent the drinks and he asked me to wait while he go and check it out. It’s been a while and I think he’s not coming back (talk about service, huh?)
So I strode up to the counter and ask the waitress if it’s really my lemon juice and she told me it is and it’s their style to put plum inside (Sweet, idiots who like to customize default drinks, should have given special name to it so I won’t order it)

It tasted like isotonic drinks with a lil bit of lemon and plum. And it cost me RM2.50 (good lord, I won’t order it if I knew it ONLY isotonic drink *roll eyes*)
- The waiter returned later with other drinks to other tables so I guess I’m right that he’ll never come back (not coming back with MY explanation, that’s it)
- And the lemon in the picture comes from my sister’s ice lemon tea (she took pity on my lemonless lemon juice drink)

Later, our food started coming in. Mine is fine, just normal but not so tasty. My sister’s rice is the bad one. She ordered chicken curry rice but look here! (pardon the finished dish)

It doesn’t tasted ‘very’ chicken if you get what I mean. Normal chicken curry rice won’t have this vegetable [ladyfinger] in the ingredient list unless it is fish head curry or vegetable curry. I was like “Stop eating this crap, we should tell them it’s not chicken curry” and my sister replied “Well, there’s CHICKEN and CURRY here so I don’t think they’ll do anything about this crap”. FAILED

My brother’s rice is okay because it’s hard to go wrong with only egg and sausage, you know ^^;;
- But later, it did go wrong as my brother refused to eat the last bite of his rice. Apparently, the egg is too salty for normal level.

My mom’s noodle is not okay. It’s not in the right color and it’s tasteless. My mom felt a lil bit disgusted after eating it. FAILED
- By the way, one point that contributed to this F grade is the waitress took the dish and walked through a rainy pathway (instead of going through the sheltered one) to our table

2 SAVED, 2 FAILED.
VERDICT: FAILED.
We will not visit this shop ever again.

[review] Immortality Bites by Michelle Rowen

I'm kind of surprised that there is vampire novels that will let me down.
Actually, there are a few but the interest never stick around long enough to get the titles in.

For this one, I actually stick around and read until book 2 but I guess my patience runs out. Too bad for this one, I've just finished reading Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress Series. So, comparisons are inevitable. This novel series by Michelle Rowen, sad to say, pale in comparison to J.Frost's series.

When I read vampire novels, I read about their strength, weakness, what they can do and what they can't. For Bitten and Smitten, I'm not sure what the whole thing is about. Well, there are vampire-hunters and vampires but the whole thing....uh, how to say?
Action? - Average
Romance? - Uh, average?
Vampirism? - Other than drinking blood and having fangs, they are all humans alike.

I didn't get to read further than a few chapters off book 2 but I'm sure the later ones are better than the first book (otherwise, M.Rowen won't release it). So, for those who like this series, please don't bash/spam me yeah, I'm just speaking what I'm thinking in MY blog.

I give this a 2 out of 5...

[review] Percy Jackson & the Olympians by Rick Riordan

Love the book~
Review coming later ^^

[edit]
Okay, here's the review.
The books are great overall. It give us so much names and refresh our knowledge of what we know about Greek mythology.
I love how people address themselves to others.
Example: [I'm Annabeth, daughter of Athena]
It's like who are their parents is the most important thing (indeed it is, as it affect your personality and judgments)

Out of topic - I think I will the daughter of [Son of Athena + Daughter of Hades]. Right, that's how my personality fares ^^

Ehem... back to topic, in the series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the climax never went down completely. It's like every day is battle day (not that I hate it but whenever trouble comes, it's like 'Uh oh, not again' stuff like that)

One more thing is the time in the book went too fast. I was reading the 4th or 5th book and Percy was saying something like how he adjust himself over the YEARS(huh?) in the camp. Well since the story only centers on Summer, you can't help but thinking time flies too fast.

I got more to write about but it wouldn't be fair to my other reviews, won't it? *wink* So there, I give this a 4 out of 5~!

PS: Okay, I'm writing more after all. Rick Riordan has a knack to leave things end his book hanging from a skyscraper -_-ll (meaning, the cliffhangers are very abrupt!! >.<)

[review] Jane Jameson series by Molly Harper

This series is very good! I give it a thumb up for great plotline.
I love how vampires maintain an open society and have their needs sold on the market for them (synthetic blood, floss, book, sunscreen, window tint and everything)

The story continues to grab my attention with its extraordinary ways to curse.
For example: ‘He yells out some of the 7 words you don’t say in a polite atmosphere’ or ‘he suggests that I perform various sexual acts to myself’ LOL
I don’t know if I can write out the same as from the book, but you get what I mean.

I read many types of vampire books and I’ve read on many different kinds of vampire condition (venomous or not, fanged of not, sunshine or not, bats or not etc). The vampire condition in this book is good and Molly Harper makes up good ‘defense’ to cover for the vampire’s weaknesses (how many times did I mention the word ‘good’? o.0)

Anyway, I give this series a 4 out of 5~

PS> It’s an adult book so be warned, ya

[review] Jeffrey Archer – False Impression

I don’t usually read novels outside my genre [mystery, supernatural, romance, fantasy, and a lil bit horror] but this novel captures my attention with its summary at the back cover.

It makes me curious how 7 strangers going to link together.
And he gives the female protagonist photographic memory. Good, I always love that ability~

The storyline is good and slowly linking all characters, although it’s kind of confusing at first with the abrupt switching of the first character and the female protagonist side. The climax is unexpected and very refreshing. It got me nervous and scared at the same time for the female lead.

On the other hand, the novel gives us the insight of what’s happening inside the WTC when it is bombed. It’s not a good thing to thought of but for me who never know what happen to WTC except from a conversation, I could feel and see the whole incident through this novel.

Oh one more thing, I get to know a lot of artist’s name and their masterpiece.

I give this novel a 4 out of 5~

[review] Harry Potter and The Deadly Hallows

**spoilers ahead, so no reading down if you don’t wanna be spoilt =P**

Whoa, after Dumbledore died, I thought there’s really nothing to hope for… (plus I heard a spoiler on the side that one of my favorite twins died in the book T^T)
But unexpectedly, this book is quite good.
Got me crying in a few chapters.
Well yeah, many people died but… the plot goes quite well and the ending is really unexpected o.o!

I salute Professor Severus Snape and he earned the highest respect from me.
Never know things could go this way…
This is not one of the best books in the series but it is one of the best ending among all the books I ever read. Don’t you just love happy ending? *sigh*

Anyway, heard that the last movie gonna come in 2 part. One will be out in November this year and the other July next year. Can’t wait to see it =)
(psst… I’m gonna [Avada Kedavra] the producer + script writer if this one comes out as bad as the previous one – Half-Blood Prince )

I give this masterpiece a 4 out of 5~!
